At long last, the ‘Seated Passengers’ update for GSX is finally here. Version 3.0 is a major new version of GSX and brings with it a host of updates that will make the simulator even more immersive.
The biggest enhancement with this new update is the inclusion of seated passengers in your virtual cabin. Starting with the Fenix A320, the new seated passengers will board your aircraft and then sit in seats within the virtual space. The passenger models have their custom animations, holding books, games consoles, and magazines.
If you’re worried about performance, the team say that once passengers are seated, they become one with the aircraft and GSX is no longer controlling them until you arrive at your destination. Furthermore, if you close the cockpit door, then the passengers will be ‘unloaded’ and not rendered.
As mentioned, the initial aircraft that this is compatible with is the Fenix A320 B2, but more will be added over time. This is an optional feature and you will need to opt-in if you would like to use it.
In addition, the cabin crew models have been updated. Plus, there are now 227 uniforms your crew could be in, and it’s all based on the airline livery you are flying. Boarding sound effects are now different, and vary depending on the region of the airline.
GSX Pro v3.0 is now available for all to download. It also includes some fixes and changes for all versions, improving the overall experience.
