Aircraft developer Got Friends has dabbled in the helicopter scene by releasing the Mini-500 for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
The Revolution Mini-500 was originally designed in the 1990s as a single-seat light helicopter kit. The original version of the Mini-500 weighs just 150 kg and has a max speed of 115 mph.
The helicopter may be small, but it comes with a bunch of features to keep you on your toes as you fly. There is a custom MGL avionics page with 7 monitoring pages, along with the ability to swap the avionics on-the-fly in the sim between a GTR-220 radio system and a GNS-530 navigation system. The flight modelling has been completed from scratch using the native flight model, as well as including a number of effects such as downwash, heat effects, icing effects, and combustion.
You can see the official trailer below which gives you a good overview of what to expect.
You can buy Got Friends’ Mini-500 now from its website for $15.00 USD.
