Got Friends has released an update to their wonderfully quirky animal companions for both Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and now Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
The concept is simple yet tantalizing, as it replaces human co-pilots, native to MSFS, with over 120 animal companions, including dogs, cats, ducks, tortoises, and rabbits. These companions can be placed anywhere, including in the back, co-pilot seat, and more unorthodox places – thanks to a six-axis placement control feature. These 3D models are built using high-quality custom textures and feature smooth idle animations, automatic position saving, and visible cockpit co-pilot support on compatible aircraft (subject to aircraft developer implementation).
If you wish to add a little whimsy to your flight simulation, you can purchase Man’s Best Friend: Deluxe on the Got Friends website for $9.99 USD or Contrail for $10.20 USD. Do note, however, that for MSFS 2024, installing Man’s Best Friend replaces selectable human co-pilots due to a limitation from Asobo. This is easily reversed if you simply remove the addon from the community folder.
