Gaya Studios is back in their consumer-facing development mode. New previews of Corfu are here.

Gaya Studios Shares New Previews of Corfu

Gaya Studios (formerly Gaya Simulations) announced a return to consumer-facing development last month with the announcement of Corfu Airport (LGKR). We now have some new details and previews for the upcoming Greek airport being developed by the team.

According to Gaya Studios, the project is built around five core pillars: execution and polish, handcrafted visual quality, real-world accuracy, performance, and immersion through lighting and atmosphere. Extensive reference material has been used, with particular attention paid to ground layouts, terminal architecture, apron detail, and the surrounding coastline.

“This release represents both a return to consumer products and a clear statement of intent for Gaya Studios,” the team said. “With LGKR, our goal was not just to recreate an airport, but to capture the feeling of arriving in Corfu on a summer flight. Every approach, taxi, and departure has been built with that experience in mind.”

Corfu International Airport is the main airport serving the Greek island of Corfu, with scheduled domestic and international flights as well as many charter routes, especially in the summer months. Aegean Airlines, Ryanair, EasyJet, Wizz Air, Lufthansa, British Airways, TUI Airways and more serve the airport.

That’s Not All – Vienna Is Making a Comeback

In addition to Corfu, Gaya Studios also confirmed that LOWW Vienna International Airport will receive a Version 2 update for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, addressing one of the most requested community updates. Further details on that release are expected at a later date.

Seeing Gaya Studios come back to consumer-facing development is dreamy for some, and we’re excited to see what is coming in the future, and appear to be in it for the long haul. FSElite will be sure to keep you posted with future Gaya Studios updates as we get them.
