Despite only releasing a few days ago, Gaya Simulations has released the first update for their Vienna Airport (LOWW) scenery. The update focuses primarily on what they described as a “major performance improvement.”
No specifics on how these significant performance changes were made, they said this was all based on user feedback. Further to the aforementioned performance update, Gaya Simulations has also fixed various other reported bugs and issues. Issues with the ILS frequencies on runways 11/29 has been fixed, along with flickering lights and signs. In addition, the team has also added airline parking codes, fixed misplaced ground service cars and also the runway starting points.
The update can be downloaded via the Orbx Central tool either automatically when you boot it up (if that option is selected) or manually should you need to apply it. If you haven’t done so, you can grab the Prepar3D version of Gaya Simulation’s Vienna Airport (LOWW) for $49.95 AUD (approximately US$31.68 | €28,95 | £25.38). It’s worth noting that Gaya Simulations has confirmed that their airports (including Vienna) will be updated to Prepar3D v5 for free.
An X-Plane 11 version is available from Orbx for the same price.
Finally, Gaya Simulations added that a blog-type post has been shared with an actual A380 pilot talking through some of the challenges of navigating that huge aircraft around Vienna Airport.
