On the Gaya Simulations forum, previews for Kos International Airport for both Prepar3D v4 and X-Plane 11 were shared. Kos International Airport serves the island of Kos, the third largest island in the Dodecanese island chain. Both Aegean Airlines and Olympic Air have year round service to Athens. Airlines such as Ryanair, airBaltic, easyJet, and Norwegian Air Shuttle have seasonal service to various destinations in Europe. Kos features a single 2,400 meter long runway and served 2,666,307 passengers in 2018. Currently the airport is in the process of reconstructing the arrival/departure hall. Once this construction is finished, Gaya Simulations will update the scenery accordingly.
No details were released with the previews, however, from what can be seen PBR textures appear to be used. Gaya Simulations noted that they are “already in advance stages of developing.” Hopefully Kos will be released soon, stay tuned to FSElite for more information on Kos and all you favorite flight sim developers!
