Gaffer Simulations Previews Port Elizabeth Airport for MSFS

Following previous posts, scenery developer Gaffer Simulations recently took to Facebook to share further previews regarding the development progress of their Port Elizabeth (FAPE) scenery for MSFS.

Port Elizabeth International Airport (FAPE) is a medium-sized international airport located within the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. The airport was established in 1929 by Lieutenant Colonel Miller and served as a base of operation for his aerial postal service to Cape Town. Following a brief period as a military airfield, the airport resumed commercial operations in 1955. Today, the airport exclusively sees domestic, commercial traffic operating connections to Bloemfontein, Cape Town, Durban, and Johannesburg.

Following Gaffer Simulations’ announcement of them bringing Port Elizabeth Airport to MSFS, the developer has now taken the opportunity to share new previews of the project via Facebook. This time the shared content depicts, among others, the main terminal building of the field and some of the buildings that are set to populate the airport’s surrounding area. All of them seem to have been faithfully replicated in a superior level of detail.

Although no release date has been provided, it is good to see that the developer is making continued progress on the scenery. At this rate, this South African domestic hub’s release should not be too far off in the future.

If you want to know more about the developer’s current projects and if you want to see additional renders published previously, feel free to head over to the developers’ Facebook page linked here.
