Following on from the announcement post last month, Just Flight has shared some brand new screenshots of its upcoming Fokker 28 Fellowship in Microsoft Flight Simulator.
On their Facebook post, Just Flight said that the majority of the external texturing is now complete. Work is still very much ongoing for other elements of the aircraft, including the systems and internal modeling. In fact, Just Flight went further to say that there is “still som way to go before we get close to software completion.”
The latest shots (above) represent the current status of the aircraft as the team continues to work on it. We can already see numerous liveries that have been made and we’ll be flying once the plane is complete.
Appearing on their ‘In Development’ page on their website, Just Flight details that they have started the development of all four variants of the regional jet (F28-1000/2000/3000/4000), which first flew in 1967. The Fellowship was developed by Dutch aircraft manufacturer, Fokker, and was designed to carry between 50 and 65 passengers on regional operations. Later, the -4000 was able to carry up to 85 passengers with a stretched fuselage and uprated engines. The aircraft ceased production in 1987 in favour of the newer Fokker F70 and F100 aircraft.
This is a pretty exciting development and we’ll be closely following progress. Just Flight is no stranger to bringing aircraft to Microsoft Flight Simulator after the release of the Piper Warrior II earlier today.
