Scenery developer Boundless Simulations has shared a handful of new previews for the upcoming release of Birmingham Airport for X-Plane 11. The new scenery based on the UK airport is nearing completion as stated in the latest post on the X-Plane.org forums.
The developer goes into some detail about what to expect in the product including the fact that the terminal buildings will have partial interior modelling, whilst the ground textures will be treated to PBR materials for a more realistic look. In addition, the new previews highlight the included hotel models which are around the airport, along with modelling custom road signs that are unique to Birmingham Airport.
Jet2, Ryanair and TUI are all dominant airlines at the regional airport, serving destinations such as Alicante, Amsterdam, Faro and many more. The airport handles over 12 million passengers per year, making it the 7th busiest in the whole of the UK.
These will be the final previews from the development team before release, which should be due soon.
