Full Preview Thread for Orbx TrueEarth US Washington [X-Plane 11]

Teased last week by Orbx, today the developer officially lifted the curtain on the next TrueEarth package, but this time, in the United States. TrueEarth US Washington takes all of the technology found in TrueEarth Great Britain and takes it Stateside.

TrueEarth US Washington will cover 91,875 square miles, which is most of the state of Washington, along with parts of British Columbia, Canada and Oregon. Within the coverage area, Orbx has included a range of cityscapes in key cities such as Seattle/Bellevue, Everett, Victoria, Tacoma and more. Further to the detailed 3D models, there will be over a 1000 points of interest to see and explore. Of course, throughout the entier region will be PBR autogen technology for X-Plane, which will also enable region-specific houses.

Of course, no scenery would be complete from Orbx without the inclusion of the millions of accurately placed trees, houses and buildings. Roads, train lines, lakes, rivers and mountains will also be accurately placed and with a high level of mesh detail to give a realistic experience.

Upon release, in Mid-June 2019, Orbx TrueEarth US Washington will only be available with the upcoming Orbx Central V4. This will take advantage of the new speedier ways to download, extract and also make installing a breeze for those on MacOS and Linux.

TrueEarth US Washington will be made available via OrbxDirect for AUD $69.95 (approx. USD $49.70/ €44.25 / £38.20). In addition to the pack described above, there will be an additional HD Package made available, too.

The Optional HD Pack is ideal for those with higher-spec computers. Whilst the standard package will be optimised and run as efficient as possible, the HD pack will include higher clarity and fidelity. The HD pack will include 1024 and 2048 textures for all 3D models and autogen, 2048 textures for the Terraflora trees and enhanced and additional 3D buildings in the cityscapes. Furthermore, the HD pack will contain WA56 Israel’s Farm Private strip free of charge.
