French developer FSX3D has released their Aspres-Sur-Buëch Airfield (LFNJ) scenery for FSX and Prepar3D.
FSX3D has created a rather complete rendition of the airfield, with custom mesh, very precise satellite imagery, seasonal textures, ambient sounds etc. The airfields has two runways of which slopes are represented as is by FSX3D. While it lacks PBR, the depiction remains of high standards.
Located in the French Alps and known as “Le Chevalet”, the Aspres Airfield is famous for its dangerous aerology and surrounding terrain, marking the approaches difficult. Landing at this airfield is prohibited when the wind is over 15 kts, due to the hazardous terrain. Pilots need a special rating to operate from this airfield. It hosts a glider and ultralight airclub.
