FSWeekend has officially announced today that their next flight simulation event will return on the 3rd to 4th April, 2027. After a period of unprecedented growth and a record-breaking 2026 event, FlightSimWeekend is moving to a new convention centre: Expo Houten (Utrecht), located in the heart of the Netherlands.
Since its inception in 1998, FSWeekend has evolved from a local enthusiast gathering
into an internationally recognised trade show. The 2026 event saw attendance climb to nearly
5,000 visitors, prompting the move to a more central, high-capacity facility that can support the
global flight sim community.
Expo Houten sits right alongside key transport routes such as the A27, making it straightforward to access. It is also well connected via the Netherlands’ main rail hub, Utrecht Centraal, with reliable local public transport links. For international visitors, the location is particularly convenient, being under 45 minutes away from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol by either car or train.
Often referred to as “Tiny Amsterdam,” Utrecht features picturesque winding canals and historic wharf-side terraces, but without the overwhelming crowds. Visitors can ascend the iconic Dom Tower, discover the renowned Railway Museum, or relax with a craft beer in a waterside cellar café. Blending medieval character with a lively cultural scene, it offers an inviting and vibrant setting, an ideal backdrop for a weekend stay during FSWeekend.
