During the opening day of FSWeekend 2026, Daan, our Editor-In-Chief, had the pleasure of hosting Ubaid Mussa, the CEO of iniBuilds, for an exclusive catch-up. It has been quite the year for iniBuilds, and they have much more on the horizon for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
L-1011 TriStar
Ubaid noted that the “Classic” jet has been the most popular request at their booth during FSWeekend, with attendees eager to try the challenge of a flying vintage tri-jet. The TriStar aims to bridge the gap between old-school flying and modern convenience, featuring SimBrief integration and Navigraph charts alongside its legacy systems. Expect the TriStar to release later this month.

Scenery Projects
Daan and Ubaid also discussed the recent launch of Hong Kong International Airport (VHHH), a project near and dear to several of the iniBuilds team members who live near the airport. Also, Ubaid confirmed Liverpool (EGGP) is essentially finished, and had it not been for the busy FSWeekend schedule, it would have been released already. Look for Liverpool to drop as early as next week.

A350, A340, and the A380
The conversation naturally turned to iniBuild’s current and upcoming long-haul Airbus fleet. Ubaid acknowledged some “turbulent” lessons from the A350 launch regarding system complexity and sim stability, especially as they pertain to WASM. Those lessons were brought into the A340’s development and release, which went much more smoothly, and the team is also applying that knowledge to the A380’s development. You can read more in iniBuild’s March dev update, which we covered here.
