FlightSim Studio has published its latest H1 2026 “Status Quo” development update, offering new details on its E-Jets, Boeing 727, Tecnam aircraft line-up, and teasing an entirely new project set to be revealed at FSExpo 2026.
The E-Jets
The biggest focus remains the E-Jets. FSS says the aircraft are now close to feature complete, but the team has decided to completely rewrite the autopilot system from the ground up rather than continue working around limitations in the default MSFS logic. The new custom autopilot will be independent of Microsoft Flight Simulator’s default systems and is intended to serve as a foundation for future FSS aircraft as well.

Once stability and WASM crash issues are resolved, the E-Jets v1.0 milestone will be considered complete, with focus then shifting toward a fully native MSFS 2024 version.
Boeing 727
The Boeing 727 is also receiving major attention. FSS confirmed work has begun on a fully native MSFS 2024 version, featuring updated textures, improvements to the 3D model, and various technical enhancements. The ADV variant with auxiliary tanks is also planned and will form the basis for the future Super 27 update. No release window has been shared yet.

Tecnam P2012
For the Tecnam P2012 Traveller v2, the team says development has expanded significantly thanks to the inclusion of the newly announced VIP variant. The aircraft will feature native MSFS 2024 functionality including walkaround mode, native EFB support, partial Career Mode compatibility, 3D passengers, and multiple cargo configurations. FSS also confirmed a substantial sound overhaul and plans for several variants, including passenger, cargo, VIP, special mission, and skydiver editions. The aircraft is currently in beta testing.

Meanwhile, the Tecnam P2006T v2 remains part of the studio’s long-term roadmap, though FSS says the P2012 is currently acting as the primary testbed for many of its new MSFS 2024 systems and workflows.
New Product Reveal at FlightSimExpo 2026
FlightSim Studio also touched on growth behind the scenes, confirming that the team has expanded in recent months alongside the formation of new partnerships. According to the developer, this growth has helped accelerate internal workflows and has enabled work to begin on an entirely new projects.
FlightSim Studio also teased a completely new project that will be unveiled during FlightSimExpo in June. The developer described it as “a bit unusual,” but something that fits closely with the studio’s identity. The reveal is planned for Saturday, 13th June 2026 at 10:30 CDT / 15:30 UTC on the FSElite Stage, both in person and online.
