FSLabs Brief Roadmap Update

With the release of Prepar3D V4.4, many were left wondering the status of many of their purchased add-ons. One of which is the A320-X family from FSLabs. Whilst we have our extensive post detailing a range of add-ons, we felt this one deserved its own post due to the numerous roadmap items discussed in the forum post.

A319-X / A320-X Prepar3D V4.4 Compatibility

The first detail discussed was compatibility with the just-released Prepar3D V4.4. Lefteris said in his post that the current product line does not work with the new update and that users should wait for an official update if they wish to use the FSL A319-X or the A320-X in V4.4. The beta team are installing P3D V4.4 as we speak and they’ll soon get a new beta build of the aircraft. Once they’re happy and everything is checked, it’ll be packaged up and released as soon as possible.

As we revealed back in October, the update to the 64-bit versions of the A319-X and A320-X will also bring a range of new features and fixes for users to enjoy. These new features include a new ATSU model, wind data uplink and the ice and rain simulation for the A320-X (already found on the A319-X). There’s a range more included, all of which are listed below. Take note that the update will not include any PBR texturing due to the re-work on modelling and texturing that needs to take place.

  • New 2017 ATSU Model features, including Load Sheets, Takeoff Performance Request, Oceanic Request, Datalink Clearance, Weather, ATIS-D, OOOI and others.
  • New high definition Flight Performance Models with more precise simulation of performance, limitations and edges of the envelope handling characteristics.
  • Wind data uplink
  • Ice and rain simulation for the A320-X
  • Reworked external model fuselage and engines for the A320-X with Several GSX-related updates and improvements
  • Stability fixes for FMGC dropouts
  • Slat/Flap logic improvements
  • DMC / FWC logic fixes and improvements
  • Sound improvements and fixes
  • Failure logic fixes

A320-X for FSX / P3DV3 (32-bit edition)

After many months of work and testing, FSLabs confirmed that the A320-X 32-bit update will be available this weekend. A huge change-log can be found at the bottom, but many of the changes are already found in the 64-bit version of the aircraft. It was made clear that this is not that final 32-bit update, as there’s still more to come in the future. What was said, however, is that following on from this weekend’s update, there may only be one more afterwards as they phase out 32-bit development.

Lefteris also said that any users of Concorde-X should note that there will be an update for the aircraft soon. The reason being is that the A320-X uses shared DLLs with Concorde-X will not function until the new update is released.

No further news on this right now sadly, but more information will be shared in the future. However, a new screenshot was shared of the A321-X.
