In a surprising announcement, FSimStudios has announced the immediate release of Nuuk International Airport for both Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Nuuk Airport (BGGH) was recently rebuilt completely to enable more domestic and international routes to and from Greenland.
FSimStudios took a research mission to the airport to gather crucial data about the airport and worked with Air Greenland to gather imagery and information to recreate the airport for flight simulator. This includes the most recent layout, runways, and terminal designs. Nuuk serves as the base for Air Greenland’s A330NEO and Dash 8 fleet, with connections to Canada, Iceland and Denmark. In the future, other airlines look to operate more routes to Europe and New York.
Included with the airport product is a full detailed rendition of Nuuk Airport, with interior modelling, accurate signage, lighting, and hand-placed models throughout. There are several POIs in the nearby city of Nuuk, including Nuuk Centre, HHE Hotel, Nuuk Cultural Centre and Nuuk Stadium.
