In recent news on their Facebook page, FSimStudios previews Kelowna Intl Airport (CYLW), for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
Kelowna airport is located in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. The airport is considered Canadas 10th busiest airport. Kelowna serves numerous destinations within Canada as well as regularly scheduled seasonal flights to more sunny destinations such as Cancún, Mexico. Furthermore, the main airlines that utilize the single runway offered by Kelowna are Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, and WestJet.
The work in progress images provided by the developer shows the immense detail they have thus far created. In comparison to satellite imagery, the developer has done a nice job in adding the number of static aircraft as well as a good representation of the car park located on the southside of the airport. As we traverse south of the airport, we come along a good rendition of the Kelowna General Hospital. So far the airport casts snow reflections, and for this being work in progress shots, we can expect the snow reflections to be present on the custom buildings, such as the hospital.
The release of Kelowna is expected to be next week. If you want to see how the MSFS version of Kelowna might look, you can check out both versions previously releases for X-Plane 11 and Prepar3D.
FSimStudios has also hinted at the development of Vancouver Intl Airport. Stay tuned for further coverage on Kelowna and upcoming Vancouver release and updates.
