In a brief update on their Facebook page, FSimStudios has released more work-in-progress screenshots of their upcoming Canadian airport, Edmonton International for Prepar3D.
The industry standard for high-quality payware addons now requires much more detail than we have had in the past. FSimStudios has clarified that work is being focused on materials both inside and outside of the terminal building along with the unmistakable architecture of the control tower.
Glass is, of course, an important transparent material on most buildings but it gives developers the opportunity to show off the inner workings of the buildings they now produce. FSimStudios are no exception and they have announced that the terminal building will have full interior modelling and this can be expected for all future projects. The control tower itself will have textured materials utilising PBR on all glass and the famous zinc tiling of the exterior.
FSimStudios has also announced that their previous project Tocumen International airport (MPTO) will be released early next week for X-Plane 11. We can expect to purchase this from simMarket and the X-Plane store.
