Following on from the news yesterday that FSimStudios is partnering with Windsock Simulations to port over Panama City to X-Plane, FSimStudios has released a statement on Facebook with some of the highlights of what they are working on.
Keeping with the announcement from yesterday, it has been confirmed that Cancun is being ported over to X-Plane 11. No further details other than a confirmation were released at this time. It was also confirmed that future airports will also be converted to X-Plane 11.
Speaking of Cancun, the team also delivered the bad news that sadly the Cancun expansion pack will be delayed. Due to issues with the blending of the satellite imagery with Orbx addons as well as default scenery, they cannot find a way to ensure the product is of high quality. There are no further plans to update the airport itself either.
As for the future, Edmonton continues to be developed, but no release date has been confirmed. After that, the team will be working on Aeroparque Internacional Jorge Newbery (SABE) and also Simón Bolívar International Airport (SVMI).
Finally, the team has said that they will soon be launching a new distribution channel for their products as well as future ones. Their main point of sale will be their own web store, with it appearing on simMarket a few weeks afterwards.
