Update 01-Sep-2024: We have updated the article to reflect that the update is planned to be in beta in September. FSElite apologises for this error.
The creators of the AI ATC addon, FSHud for Microsoft Flight Simulator, has recently taken to their YouTube channel, showcasing the new voice recognition addition coming to the software in the next update.
Version 2.0 of FSHud promises to bring with it a number of features to the fray. In the video, we are shown a clearance request and a full demo flight. We see how, by using the integrated in-sim menu, we can see the flow and how the user can interact with the AI ATC.
Finally, at the end of the video, we see how performance holds up with 140 aircraft being simulated. It holds steady at 60FPS, with 100 on the ground and 42 in the air, on a fairly modest system.
Correction: We made an error and can tell you that the update is planned for September in Beta. For more information when it becomes available, be sure to check back on FSElite regularly. You can read more about FSHud v2 in our previous page.
