A brand new video from FSHud – Air Traffic Control has been shared that gives us detail on what their roadmap for 2025 looks like. The video highlights all the new features planned, along with showcasing them in a flight from Geneva to Zurich.
The first major update coming in 2025 is emergency handling. This new system will allow you to request an emergency landing for any scenario; medical, mechanical or for poor weather conditions requiring a divert. You will see dynamic traffic adjustments made and ATC will clear the approach for you in order to facilitate your request.
The next is an Airport Configuration Editor. This will allow anyone to fully customise airport operations, including renaming taxiways, runway usage, and creating custom traffic procedures. Then the AI will follow this exactly.
The final point brought up by FSHud is new AI-Driven ATC Communication. You will be able to “engage in natural, context-aware conversations” which is powered by an AI model. There will be dynamic problem-solving for diversions, emergencies and other guidance.
FSHud says that these features are designed to help their vision of making it the “most advanced and immersive ATC solution available.” They look forward to hearing your feedback. As usual, we’ll keep you posted of when these updates drop.
