FSDreamTeam Preview Chicago O’Hare with Native PBR Material in P3D V4.4

The release of Prepar3D V4.4 has developers both excited and shared about the new PBR material technology found within the simulator. As discussed in our interview with Adam, many developers have had their hands on it for a while. One such developer is scenery creator FSDreamTeam. The guys previewed Chicago O’Hare a while back, which was poised to make use of P3DV4’s new technology. Today, the team released a short teaser trailer showcasing how PBR will be implemented at the airport.

The 2 minute video takes us on a journey though the airport and highlighting the various materials applied to parts of the airport. Whether that be glass, concrete or stone, each material now has its specific value meaning lighting will be accurately reflected.

No word on a release date at this point. Chicago O’Hare (KORD) will be available exclusively for Prepar3D V4.
