Earlier today on Simultech’s Facebook, a partner of FSDreamTeam, announced work on Daniel K. Inouye International Airport for Prepar3D V4. FSDreamTeam has already done Honolulu in the past, the current version was released in 2013. This new version will be a completely new build from the ground up. In 2018, Honolulu International Airport served over 20.9 million passengers to destinations in North America, Australia, and Asia. The airport serves as a hub for Hawaiian Airlines and offers both long haul and short haul flights. The short haul flights between the islands are flown on all types of planes from the 717 to the Cessna Grand Caravan.
Created using the latest graphics techniques, Honolulu International Airport will be of the same high quality expected from FSDreamTeam. The techniques used will be comparable to FSDreamTeam’s O’Hare V2 to reproduce the aprons. Lots of care is being used to make sure this scenery will be supported on simulators that “will appear on the market between now and the end of the year.” It hasn’t been formally announced but they seem to be hinting towards compatibility with the new Microsoft Flight Simulator expected to release later this year. No release date or price was announced at this time.
