Scenery developer Flight Sim Development Group (FSDG) has released Windhoek Lite for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The airport product depicts Hosea Kutako International Airport (FYWH) in Namibia. The airport features two primary runways (the longest being 14,869ft) and sees airlines operate both domestic and international routes. Airlines such as Air Namibia, KLM and South African Airways visit the airport bringing over 5 million annual passengers.
The airport product features realistic lighting and shadowing. Above all, the ‘Lite’ airport has been optimised for “great performance” and is compatible with other addons for the area.
Typically the “Lite” series from FSDG provides a more basic product, but still features various elements such as realistic airport layouts, HD quality texturing and detailed 3D modelling. From the screenshots also provided, there is also a range of airport objects, ground markings and other points of interest.
You can buy the FSDG Windhoek Lite from their website for €13.92 (inclusive of the VAT). It’s worth noting FSDG only sells to European customers, so if you’re outside Europe, you will have to wait until the product is on another store such as simMarket.
