Update: A Prepar3D version of the scenery is also released. The details and feature list is identical, but obviously for the different platform. You can check out the product page on FSDG’s website.
Following on from the release of Windhoek Lite for Microsoft Flight Simulator, FSDG has released Walvis Bay Airport for the new simulator. Situated 9 miles east of the town of the same name, Walvis Bay Airport (FYWB) sees regular flights to Cape Town, Saint Helena and Johannesburg.
Described on the product page as one of the “most beautiful places for VFR” in Africa, Walvis Bay will give you the chance to find flamingoes, shipwrecks and other exciting points of interest around the scenery. The airport features lighting, shadowing and volumetric lights throughout and the airport has been optimised for performance. As with other FSDG airports, the scenery comes with detailed modelling, texture work and a variety of objects scattered around.
Like other FSDG scenery products, only European customers are able to purchase from their store. This means if you’re outside of the EU, you will need to wait for other stores to list the product. That said, if you are able to, you can buy Walvis Bay for Microsoft Flight Simulator for €18.56 (inclusive of the EU tax).
