Flight Sim Development Group has released its popular Mauritius island scenery for X-Plane.
The release of Mauritius for X-Plane comes just hours after FSDG updated the P3D version to V1.2.
The island of Mauritius is located around 1200 miles east of mainland Africa and is known for its varied amount of flora and fauna. This makes the island a sought after destination for tourists. Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam airport serves the island as the main airport, handling over 3.7 million passengers a year. Airlines such as Turkish Airlines, Emirates and British Airways serve the airport from destinations such as London, Istanbul and Dubai, Emirates operate 2 A380 flights daily to the island.
FSDG has taken the time to export the P3D scenery into X-Plane, making full use of PBR texturing, 3D volumetric lighting and in-depth shadowing. The release comes with a detailed and accurate rendition of Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Airport (FIMP) along with the skydive Austral airstrip. FSDG has covered the island in complete aerial imagery along with custom autogen, landmarks airstrips and helipads.
