In previous articles, we have observed scenery developer Flight Sim Development Group, render Mauritius scenery for XP and P3D. This time they introduce the scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
Mauritius is an island nation located in the Indian Ocean and is approximately 1,000 miles from South Africa. The island is well known for its spectacular beaches with white sand and also for its high mountainous terrain that overlooks all corners of the island. The main airport on the island, Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport (FIMP), is located on the east side of the island, not far from the capital, Port Louis. A number of airlines, such as, Air Madagascar, Air Austral, and Air Mauritius visit the island; Air Mauritius has the most extensive route structure out of all three. In addition, seasonal carriers include a variety of airlines from Europe.
The team at FSDG has again customized the entire island with rich detail for your enjoyment. Usually, certain sceneries that include lots of detail have an impact on PC performance, however, the team has optimized this scenery for a smoother experience. The airport itself is rendered with accurate ground markings, ground polygons that match satellite imagery, and detailed buildings. Lastly, static 3D objects such as service vehicles populate the area.
