The Egyptian holiday resort of Marsa Alam is now available in Microsoft Flight Simulator with FSDG bringing their scenery to the sim.
Having previously released the scenery in FSX and P3D, FSDG has finally released Marsa Alam International Airport (ICAO: HEMA) in the latest generation simulator. With a 3,000m long runway in the south of Egypt, the airport welcomes numerous international airlines in the glorious summer months, packed full of tourists coming to revel in the beauty of the Red Sea resorts.
Pilots only have a choice of RNP or VOR approaches to either end of the runway, and with soaring temperatures in the height of summer, the thermals can make for a challenging approach so be sure to have your wits about you, especially if you’re coming to the end of a 3-4 hour slog across the continent!
The MSFS version of the scenery includes fully accurate rendition of the airport with updated ground layout and the surrounding area. It also features realistic light environment, detailed modelling and even includes hotels and buildings at Port Ghalib nearby. To utilise the benefits of MSFS, the scenery includes dynamic lighting and reflective texture and is compatible with GSX.
You can purchase a copy of FSDG – Marsa Alam for MSFS at aerosoft.com for $14.99.
