Flight Sim Development Group (FSDG) recently took to their Facebook page to announce the release of their Amílcar Cabral International Airport scenery, located on the island country of Cabo Verde.
Amílcar Cabral International Airport (GVAC/SID) is the primary international gateway for Cabo Verde. The airport is named after Amílcar Cabral, the first president of Guinea-Bissau, and was designated as an emergency return base for NASA’s space shuttle missions. Throughout the 20th century, the airport served as a key refueling stop for many International airlines, including Alitalia, South African Airways, Aeroflot, and TACV (now known as Cabo Verde Airlines). Despite the island’s small size, the airport offers an abundance of connections to major hubs throughout Europe and Africa.

FSDG’s rendition of Cabo Verde Sal’s airport offers an accurate and detailed rendition of this scenic, yet challenging airport. The scenery features the most up-to-date ground layout with 3D buildings featuring modeled interiors. The latest MSFS technologies have been incorporated into the scenery, including dynamic lighting, reflective textures, and more. Despite the surrounding terrain, FSDG has optimized the airport’s design for great performance, while maintaining the visual standard. Between the seaside approach and strong prevailing crosswinds, FSDG’s Amílcar Cabral International Airport scenery will test even the most senior flight sim pilots.
You can now purchase FSDG’s Cabo Verde Sal scenery from Aerosoft for $24.99.
