Customers who own FS2Crew’s Pushback Express plugin for Microsoft Flight Simulator / Prepar3D can now download version 1.2. The new version brings voice control to interact with the ground crew in the new simulator free of charge.
The new voice control options will enable you to speak to the ground staff as you prepare your aircraft for pushback. The system uses the native Microsoft Speed Recognition system and supports English US, UK and AU. It is also confirmed that native German, French and Spanish is also supported. If you are not a fan of using the voice controls, then the button controls via the menu will still work just fine for you. Version 1.2 also features a handful of bug fixes, but these are not documented in the Facebook post.
This update can be downloaded from the FS2Crew website, with other vendors getting the update files soon on their site. Users are warned that they must first uninstall the previous version before installing update 1.2.
Finally, FS2Crew confirmed that the next item on their to-do list is to get animated people working in the simulator to make the experience of pushback even more immersive.
If you don’t already, you can pick up Pushback Express from FS2Crew from their website for €24.95. You could also watch our hands-on with the product, but do remember it was from before this update was released.
