An all-new freeware SR22 Turbo G6 for X-Plane 11 has been released by developer HoldMyBeer. The aircraft product features a range of high-fidelity features, impressive texturing and detailed modelling. Whilst it is available as freeware, developers at HoldMyBeer are kindly asking that if you enjoy the plan, then you should donate to a German Children’s Hospice. More details on that below.
First, the aircraft itself. The Cirrus SR22 is a single-engine aircraft with a powerful 310-horsepower engine. With over 6,000 units delivered between 2001 and 2019, it is a testament to the quality and design of the aircraft. It features composite materials, a high capacity fuel tank and also can carry 4/5 people at any given time. The G6 model (which this product is based on) adds the updated Garmin avionics, LED wingtip lights and more.
HoldMyBeer, despite being freeware, has integrated a range of features and functionality that would compete even with the top-tier payware. From a completely animated 3D-Model to an integrated failure module. Be prepared for anything as failures will be based on wear and tear or even a birdstrike. In addition, your pilot health is simulated so be mindful of how much you push yourself in the aircraft. A full custom sound suite, particle effects and integration with AviTab and Active Sky XP is also included.
You can find out more over on the HoldMyBeer website. There are two links to download the Cirrus SR22 Turbo G6.
As mentioned, the team are suggesting that if you liked the aircraft that you can then donate to a German Children’s Hospice. There’s no obligation to do so to get the aircraft, but we’ll leave the link here if you feel it’s something you wish to do.
