Yesterday, we shared a single preview for the upcoming FlyTampa Copenhagen v2. Following on from that, the developers has now shared a range of new previews highlighting many of the changes due to come to FlyTampa’s next airport.
With version 2 of Copenhagen, the team has expanded the main terminal, along with the new Pier C modelling. Each of the buildings also has high-resolution textures, PBR materials and also SODE support. For those who don’t use SODE, CTRL+J will also work for the jetways. In addition, there are now new airport buildings, PBR materials for the ground textures, new apron vehicles and also animated vehicle animations with dynamic lighting.
No release date was mentioned, at this time, but FlyTampa did confirm to us that they are “wrapping everything up for a release”.
In sadder news, on a forum post, George from FlyTampa announced that a freelance developer who worked closely with the team has sadly passed away. This has, understandably, had a knock-on effect in the development of other projects. In the same post, he did confirm that Athens for Prepar3D is in an advanced stage, a Vienna update is confirmed and that they are learning “two new sims”, which could mean Prepar3D v5 and Microsoft Flight Simulator.
As for Copenhagen, there is no indication of a price, nor if there would be any upgrade routes. Nor did FlyTampa mention anything regarding Prepar3D v5 compatibility, however, we do know they are working with the simulator.
