Developer Flysimware has officially released its rendition of the Learjet 35A for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 following several rounds of preview videos.
Rather than a simple port, the Learjet 35A for MSFS 2024 has been rebuilt to take full advantage of the MSFS 2024 platform, bringing in new native systems, updated effects, and major new functionality across the entire aircraft.
The MSFS 2024 package includes all expansion packs plus a new long-range configuration featuring Long Tip Tanks and an optional ventral fin.
Flysimware leveraged new functionality in the MSFS2024 SDK while building its own development tools to greatly expand the depth of the Lear 35’s systems. Modern pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic, and fuel systems are backed up by 179 functioning circuit breakers.
Pilots will also find significantly expanded environmental and immersion effects with improved exterior icing, new surface rain effects, enhanced windshield effects, and new engine sounds by Boris Audio Works.
The greatly expanded systems in the new Learjet act as the underpinning for a new long-term ownership experience and failure model. For full details on the failure simulation, click here to view Flysimware’s video.
None of the new functionality comes at the cost of compatibility with Career Mode. Three Career Mission Types match the aircraft’s cabin variants for cargo, search and rescue, and charter service.
To round out the day-to-day experience, the 2024 Learjet 35A adds an expanded preflight workflow and a tablet app integrated into the default MSFS 2024 EFB. Inside the tablet app, pilots can select from different avionics options, manage the failure and wear items, calculate takeoff and landing performance, and view live pneumatics and fuel systems status.
Pilots can select from three panel options including the PMS50 GTN750, TDS GTN750xi, and the Working Title GNS 530. The Learjet 35A will also be the first aircraft to support the PMS50 GTN750 on Xbox.
Combined with refined flight handling through MSFS 2024’s updated flight model and improvements to CFD, this is the most complete and immersive aircraft Flysimware has ever produced. Real-world Learjet 35A pilots and instructors further aided the development process.
Flysimware positions its redesigned Learjet 35A as a product for pilots who enjoy deep systems fidelity and the study process. For those who enjoy the existing Learjet 35A as is, the developer reiterates that it remains a solid option for both platforms.

Flysimware Learjet 35A Pricing and Upgrade
Flysimware’s Learjet 35A for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is available now on the Flysimware store for USD 65.99 / EUR 56.34 / GBP 49.33. It will also be available on SimMarket in the next few days and the Microsoft Flight Simulator Marketplace over the coming week.
Existing customers of the Learjet 35A for MSFS 2020 are eligible for a USD 20 / EUR 17.07 / GBP 14.95 Discount through the marketplace they originally purchased the 2020 version from.
The developer encourages its existing customers to watch the available videos and read through the product page before upgrading to get a sense of the expanded systems depth.
Finally, the developer notes the new modern pneumatic system provided by MSFS 2024 is currently not meeting the developer’s standards in a few areas. The system does function, but in some cases it may overshoot the target cabin altitude. If Asobo does not provide a fix in the next few months, Flysimware will revert to its own custom system to ensure customers receive a solid, reliable experience.
