In a recent Discord message, FlyJSim lead Jack broke the long silence and delivered an update on the status of the company’s aircraft line, particularly the 727/732 series.
Jack explains that he’s been silent, overwhelmed, and ashamed. He recognises that the community has been left waiting for years with few clear updates, and that’s unfair to those who’ve invested time, hope, and trust in FlyJSim.
Status of the FlyJSim 727/732 Series
- The 727, Jack acknowledges, is effectively abandoned in terms of major development.
- As for the 732, it’s not dead; it lives, but the development is stalled, stuck waiting on Jack’s own capacity to move it forward. He emphasises that past announcements full of features and bold promises were made in hope, not certainty, and that life’s obstacles have intervened.
- He is not committing to a release date or roadmap until there’s something tangible to show.
- He does hint that a very basic XP12 compatibility patch might be possible in future, though it’s low priority and unscheduled.

Support for the FlyJSim Q4XP
Jack clarifies that the Q4XP aircraft will continue to get support, patches, and updates as he’s able. He insists it is not abandoned, even if it may receive less spotlight than some hoped.

Personal Matters & Apologies
Jack lists several health and personal issues that have slowed him down and admits to letting shame silence him rather than being open earlier. He thanks everyone for their patience, honesty, and still being there, especially his coworker, Amy, for her work and loyalty throughout all of this.
