Flying Fries’ XF-11 WWII reconnaissance aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator has been updated to version 1.3.0, with a raft of new and improved features to complement.
Central to the update are the new engine features that simmers can expect to enjoy. The developer has now implemented a full failure system which is based on engine stress, as well as engine performance improvements in situations such as reverse prop idle pitch, idle and low altitude max speed. Mixture management has also been revamped, with pilots needing to take extra care to lean the engine for optimal performance and wear at higher speeds and altitudes.
The new engine features are not the only additions that have arrived with the 1.3.0 update though. Among the other new features is the ability for drop tanks to now actually be dropped on those extra long-range missions. Flap behaviour has been improved, and canopy covers are also coming along as a new static element; perfect for getting screenshots of the aircraft parked up on the ground. 2 new liveries have also been added, these being Cal Fire and Otaku Gekko World Tour.
Several fixes also come with the update such as working landing light animations, visible pilot and copilot in multiplayer, and static elements no longer being visible in multiplayer.
