Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport is 12 km northwest of Gdansk, Poland. The airport is named after Lech Wałęsa, the former president of Poland. It is third largest airport in Poland and serviced more than 5 million people in 2018. The airport has two passenger terminals, of the two, terminal 2 is the only one that is fully functional. Terminal 1 is still in use but it only serves departures to countries which are not part of Schengen Area. The current terminals are currently being expanded and is planned to be finished in 2021.
