The team at FlyDesign has released Cannes – Mandelieu Airport (LFMD) for X-Plane 10 and 11. The French airport, near to Cote d’Azur (Nice) and Monaco serves more as a private strip for the rich and famous. It usually finds a lot of general aviation traffic, but also sees plenty of business jets service the area.
In terms of the product itself, the developers say that they have crafted it with 4K textures on all the buildings and ground work, numerous 3D custom designed buildings and hand placed vegetation all around the airport. The team also made sure it was highly optimised so people could enjoy it without much impact on their frame rate. Pilots will be pleased to know it also includes the charts for the airport and 3D lights making sure you can land safely at all times of the day.
