Scenery developer Fly2High took to their Facebook page to preview their latest U.S. airport project for flight sim, Westchester County Airport.
Located in White Plains, New York, Westchester County Airport (KHPN/HPN) acts as reliever airport for those looking for a quieter alternative compared to JFK or LaGuardia Airports. The airport can trace its roots back to World War II, when it served as a base for the Air National Guard. Commercial airline service began shortly following the war, with the airport currently served by American Airlines, Breeze Airways, Delta Airlines, and JetBlue. With an abundance of fixed-based operators onsite, Westchester County Airport is also home to a sizable general aviation operation. Its combination of airline traffic, business aviation, and close proximity to New York City has made the airport a popular choice among flight sim pilots. To meet growing demand, the airport announced in March 2026 that it would undergo a terminal modernization project to meet growing demand and enhance the passenger experience.

Other than announcing the scenery would be arriving on both MSFS 2024 and X-Plane 12, Fly2High shared a few additional details in its preview post. The screenshots highlighted the exterior of the passenger terminal, along with a detailed look at Million Air, one of the airport’s FBOs known for handling private jet traffic. Considering Fly2High only announced that terminal modeling had been completed back in February, it is exciting to see the progress made since then.
FSElite will continue to monitor this story and share any future updates on the project.
