Shortly after it was announced a little over a week ago, Fly X Simulations has released their Rovaniemi (EFRO) Rebooted scenery for X-Plane 11. While the original EFRO released in November 2017 by Fly X Simulations was freeware, this new airport has become payware due to the amount of work involved into bringing it to the latest standards. The airport is modeled in deep details, with terminal interior, high resolution PBR textures, custom jetways, trees and the most recent terminal expansion in the real world airport.
Administrative capital of Lapland, Rovaniemi is located very close to the arctic circle. The scenery features a custom winter mode that allows snow effects to cover the entire airport. This is important for immersion in this area that is covered by snow for around 7 months a year.
Known as the official home town of Santa Claus, it sees dedicated charters each Christmas for people who want to visit the bearded man. Santa has a dedicated village set as a theme park. Along with the civilian installation, the airport also has a military air base where Finnish Air Force F-18 fighter aircraft are based.
Fly X Simulations Rovaniemi is available on the X-Plane Store for $17.99.
