Fly X Simulations, a scenery developer for X-Plane, just released their first development update for their Lanzarote scenery. This comes a few months after the announcement that the project began in mid-February.
Fly X has been mainly working on the models for the airport, including hangars, warehouses and the 2 terminals which can be found at Lanzarote.
The developer has stated that, since the announcement for the project starting, they have completely remodelled terminal 1 to a higher standard and have also begun work on terminal 2, with the modelling and texturing almost complete. Also previewed were 6 building of various types which were both excellently modelled and textured.
Work hasn’t yet started on the custom ground markings which will make their way into the final product, but Fly X has previewed some experimentation they have been doing surrounding normal maps for ground textures, a texturing techinique which really brings X-Plane scenery to life and it imitates life-like textures.
No price nor release date has been announced, yet, but Fly X has said that they want to aim for a before years-end release of this product.
