It’s the end of an era. As of 16th, December 2025 Leonardo SH’s Fly the Maddog X is no longer be available for sale.
The developer plans to replace its long running simulation of the MD-80 series with a new product referred to as Fly the Maddog: 20th Anniversary Edition, which will be available for purchase on 20th December, 2025 at 12:00 PM CET.
Fly the Maddog: 20th Anniversary Edition will feature a brand-new 3D model for both the interior and exterior. It represents a significant visual upgrade while preserving the systems depth and accuracy that the Maddog series is known for.
This follows the developer’s announcement to suspend updates and support for Prepar3D at the end of November.
No further information or pricing details for Fly the Maddog: 20th Anniversary Edition were available as of the publishing of this article.
