In a short but brief post on the Leonardo Softhouse forums, lead developer Stefano revealed the news we have all been waiting for from the team about the Fly the Maddog for Microsoft Flight Simulator. That news is both the release date and the final pricing.
Before talking about the price and the release date, Stefano wanted to make clear that there is even more functionality added to the initial offering that were missing from the initial feature list. This includes an EFB and a new 3D model for the passenger cabin. It would appear that the team saw the demand for these items and instead of releasing them as a few updates down the line, opted to instead release them as part of the initial product offering.
The news most of us have been waiting for is when can we finally fly the MD-80 in Microsoft Flight Simulator. Well, if all goes to plan, you should be soaring in the skies with the Fly the Maddog on April 30th 2022. In less than a week, this high-fidelity aircraft can be yours. As for the price, it will be €75.00 (plus applicable taxes). We also now know that you will be able to buy the Maddog through SIMMARKET.
Stefano said in his post that more details on the plane will be shared in the next few days. We’re excited to see what he has planned and we’ll be sure to cover it once we learn more. So mark your calendars as April 30th will be quite an exciting day.
