Fabian Lim, founder of FliteSim.com has given a short presentation on the main stage at the River Convention Centre in Saint Paul where he announced 2 new products and the sunsetting of some others.
GEN 2 Flitesim.com CLS-60/120 Yokes
The new products in question were the CLS-60 and CLS-120 GEN2 force feedback (FFB) yokes. These are both full size Cessna 172 yokes, with 60 or 120 newtons of maximum pitch force that can be applied. The two models also support up to 4Nm / 8Nm of torque on the roll axis, which is fed through the unit’s 165mm metal shaft – the longest in the industry according to Fabian (😉)
These new GEN 2 versions sit within a smaller form factor than their older cousins, so they should occupy less space on your desk. Couple that with a new quick-mount/dismount system and users should find that the new unit is significantly more convenient for regular use on a shared workspace / sim-space.
Fabian said the units will be available for pre-order in the next 60 days with a price point to be confirmed. Though for those eager to order concerned about that price point, Fabian’s exact words were “relax, it’s going to be affordable”.
Last-Gen CLS-60/120 End of Life Sale
With the advent of the new CLS-60 and CLS-120 yokes comes the sunsetting of the last-gen yokes. Fabian announced that while the CLS-60 GEN-1 previously retailed at $999 USD, it will now be made available at a discounted price of $699 USD. The CLS-120 GEN-1 sees a similar reduction, from $1,399 USD to $1,099 USD.

NEW: Boeing 737 Yoke

Fabian also announced on stage a new full-size 737 Yoke, which is available for pre-order now.
This product featues left nad right dual (split) trim switches, as well as 2x side button switches and 2x back button switches.
This isn’t a standalone unit, it’s just the “handles” part of the yoke essentially. That makes it modular, and so it will be compatible with both the GEN-1 and GEN-2 CLS-60/120 models.
Fabian announced that the RRP of this product with be $599 USD, however customers who are willing to pre-order can scoop up a $200 USD discounted price of $399.99.
NEW: Cessna 172 Analog Panel
Then, another new product. A Cessna 172 analog, steam gauge panel.
This is actually quite unique, albeit niche. If you wanted to build something like this previously, then you’d be looking to approach a company like ALTIMETER MOTIVES (who also presented on the main stage today) or a specialist cockpit builder. It’s entirely possible, but until today there hasn’t been a retailer that we’re aware of selling the yoke and panel as fully integrated units.
Fabain showed us the details of this unit’s construction. It’s full metal, featuring 3x LED panels and 5 knobs. There is also a cutout for your yoke, enabling it to be positioned in a realistic manner.
Although Fabian will happily sell you one of his own yokes, the unit also fits existing products from other companies including Moza, Brunner, Yoko and Honeycomb.
The unit is avialable for pre-order now up until July 15, with shipping estimated from August 15. The product will also require a piece of third party software called Air Manager 5, developed by SimInnovations.com. Cruciaully, users should be aware that AM5 is a seperate picece of software not provided by FliteSim.com, and a license for that will set you back €65.00.
Regardless, Fabian will sell you one of his analog panels for $750 USD at the pre-order stage. Otherwise, it will set you back $1,099 USD.
