FlightSimExpo 2023 Key Event Details, Schedules and More Revealed

More details about the 2023 event have been shared.

FlightSimExpo 2023 will be held in Houston, Texas in June 2023 and the first concrete details for the event are now coming from the organisers. During the 3-day long event, simmers will be able to talk to experts, developers and fellow community members about everything to do with flight simulation. For the 2023 event, FlightSimExpo will be held at the Lone Star Flight Museum, but there are other locations where simmers will want to check out to get the full experience.

Seminars and Schedules

On Friday 23rd June 2023, there will be a full afternoon of seminars from a number of developers and speakers. Details on who they have yet to be confirmed, but FlightSimExpo says that these will be the “biggest announcements” of the show. These will be hosted at the DoubleTree Houston Hobby Hotel between 13:00 – 17:00 in a 500-seat seminar room. Following the four hours of seminars at the hotel, a welcome reception and social night will happen. This will allow you to meet up with fellow simmers and enjoy a refreshment or two. For those that are FSA Captains, an exclusive dinner is also being held just for you.

Moving into the weekend, attendees will spend the majority of their time at the Lone Star Flight Museum. It’s here that you will be able to explore over 130,000 square ft of exhibition space amongst the 20 vintage aircraft on display. In addition to the museum itself, expect a number of developers to exhibit with the latest products, giving you the ultimate try-before-you-fly experience. If you then want to try some real-world flying, the museum will also be offering rides in vintage aircraft throughout the weekend.

Your FlightSimExpo registration ticket will cover two-day admission to the museum itself, meaning that you can explore at your leisure on the 24th and 25th of June 2023. Of course, there will also be a number of seminars and events happening at the Lone Star Museum as well.

Accommodation

If you’re looking to stay in the local area, the FlightSimExpo team has worked out deals with two local hotels. Those hotels are DoubleTree by Hilton and also Houston Marriott South, both by Houston Hobby Airport. DoubleTree rates start at $109 per night, whilst the Marriot South hotel has rates from $89 per night. It’s good to note that the FlightSimExpo room blocks include free shuttles to/from Houston Hobby airport, free parking, free internet and also free morning coffee. However, there is no transportation to/from the Lone Star Flight Museum and hiring a car is recommended.

You can book your hotels via the travel page on the FlightSimExpo website.

Flight Discounts

FlightSimExpo as partnered with a number of airlines already to offer some savings on flights to the area. Currently both Delta and United are offering a 2-10% discount on airfares. Southwest Airlines is also on the list, but details are currently to be determined. Full details are on the travel page at FlightSimExpo.
