In a brief statement on the FlightSimExpo Facebook page, it has been confirmed that the 2021 event will now go ahead in September 2021. This means the hybrid event will no longer take place in June as previously planned.
FlightSimExpo 2021 will now take place on September 24-26, 2021. The in-person component of the event will still be held at Town and Country San Diego. All registrations and tickets already sold will be moved to the new dates and those who have will receive an email soon.
Furthermore, the team said that exhibitor and sponsor outreach will happen in the coming days. An initial list of exhibitors will be hopefully shared in June.
This delay is most likely as a result of the ongoing global pandemic and the team wanting to ensure the event can safely proceed and give attendees, exhibitors and media the time they need to prepare for an event.
Update @ 1950z: This event will be a hybrid event as originally planned just on the new dates.
We await to hear further details from the team at FlightSimExpo.
This is a breaking story and may be updated as more information becomes available.
