Whilst the team are still planning FlightSimExpo 2020, the research for the 2021 show has been underway for the past few weeks. As with previous years, the FlightSimExpo team are looking to the community to choose the next location for 2021.
The team said that they reached out to 50 properties in 24 different states, and have since narrowed that down to a handful of destinations which they felt would be best suited based on budget, feedback from previous shows and various other dependencies. The locations are as follows:
- Atlanta (Downtown)
- Atlantic City
- San Antonio
- San Diego
- Schaumburg (near Chicago O’Hare Airport)
In addition to the new cities, FlightSimExpo are also asking for people’s views on returning back to Orlando (as per the 2019 event) or a return to Las Vegas.
The survey only takes a few minutes but the information provided to the FlightSimExpo team will be invaluable to help make the decision for 2021. You can find out a little more on some of the criteria set out by the team for the ideal location, along with some information on why specific cities are not being considered in the comment section on this Facebook post.
Of course, attention is very much on this year’s event with the current pandemic with COVID-19. The current stance from FlightSimExpo is that the show will go on, but that they are monitoring the changing situation daily and will keep people updated via this link. It’s worth noting that the team will be sending out a survey soon to all attendees and exhibitors to ask their opinion. You can read more here.
