FlightSimExpo 2020 Speakers and Developer Seminars Confirmed

June is only three months away, which means FlightSimExpo 2020 is edging closer to happening in Las Vegas this coming June. In preparation, both speaker and announcement seminars have now been officially confirmed. Orbx, Virtual-Fly, QualityWings Simulations and Aerosoft are just a handful of those conducting live talks during the event.

So far, a total of 9 developer seminars have been confirmed to take place. Expect to see new product announcements and updates from Virtual-Fly, Orbx, Infinite Flight, Navigraph, X-Plane (Laminar Research), QualityWings Simulations, Mindstar Aviation, Cardinal Horizon, Gleim Aviation and Pro-Sim A.R. There are still spots left available so expect new announcements in the future.

As for talks, Friday, Saturday and Sunday are packed full of various seminars. From in-depth developer talks to how to build your own home cockpit, there is something for everyone. Friday kicks off the seminar series with Captains’ Corner, which focuses on interacting with leading developers in a more intimate environment. 5 seminars on Friday will take place, with FlightChops live on stage building a PC, which will be raffled off at the end of the seminar.

On Saturday, Flight Simulator legend Rod Machado kicks off. You may recognize Rod as the voice of the original FSX lessons, which kick-started this hobby off for so many. Following on from that, Derek Vento from The Traffic Pattern will help people maximise their simulation environment with Sergio Costa from Helisimmer talking all things helicopters. Saturday will also be an exciting day for those of you looking to learn more about overclocking your PCs and perhaps you’re interested in becoming a virtual fighter pilot.

Sunday brings the perfect day to learn how you can get started with At-Home Simulation. The three-part series will cover the why, the how and the online world. Kevin Martin from Liberty Flight Training will deliver the first seminar covering the why, whilst myself, Calum Martin, will tell you how to get involved and which products will get you up to speed in the quickest time. Sebastian Knoop-Troullier concludes that series with an in-depth look into the world of online flying to get people engaged with that straight away. Finally, Sunday ends with Mathijs Kok sharing Aerosoft’s thoughts on add-on development for the upcoming Microsoft Flight Simulator.

The whole weekend will be action-packed from Friday all the way through to Sunday afternoon. Of course, there is still plenty of exhibitors out in the main hall, plenty of socialising opportunities and lots of swag to grab.

The full seminar schedule can be found here.
