Flightsim.to has announced the launch of its new Auto Installer, a tool designed to take the hassle out of installing add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Currently in beta and available exclusively to Premium members, the Auto Installer promises to simplify the process of getting your favourite scenery, aircraft and liveries into the simulator.
The new application integrates directly with Flightsim.to, allowing users to install compatible add-ons with a single click. Once selected, the Auto Installer will automatically download, extract, and place files into the correct folder, removing the need to manually handle archives or hunt for the Community folder.
Alongside one-click installs, the tool supports bulk installations, letting simmers queue up multiple add-ons at once. There’s also support for custom installation paths and symbolic links, ensuring flexibility for those with large libraries spread across different drives.
Not every add-on is compatible yet, as developers must opt in for the Auto Installer to work. Likewise, there’s currently no built-in uninstaller, meaning manual removal is still required. As the tool remains in beta, users should expect some limitations while development continues. You will be able to install an add-on by clicking a button on the website while you have the launcher open on your computer. It will then detect the correct location and install.

For those who regularly download content from Flightsim.to, the Auto Installer has the potential to significantly reduce setup time and confusion. While only available to Premium members for now, it appears it will be available to all users in the future.
