FlightSim Studio Shares Q4 2025 Update

FlightSim Studio has published its Q4 2025 FSS Status Quo report. This update covers their major projects, including the Boeing 727, E-Jets series, Tecnam aircraft and plans for 2026 events.

FlightSim Studio Boeing 727 Series

Alongside ongoing tweaks of the 727-200 and Super27, FSS confirms development of the Boeing 727-100 variant is underway. Based on existing code, this version introduces distinct systems differences, including cockpit layout changes like an updated dashboard, yoke, throttle quadrant and warning light arrangements that better reflect the -100’s real-world configuration. If all goes to plan, the 727-100 could arrive late in 2025 or early in 2026, health and well-being of the team permitting.

Progress on the long-anticipated E-Jets series remains active, with beta testers identifying and reporting issues that FSS is addressing one by one. An important milestone has been reached with the VNAV autopilot functionality released to their beta testers, and while core systems are largely reliable, FSS reiterates that several mandatory features, including TCAS and the migration of all sound logic to WASM, must be completed before any public experimental release can happen. The team hopes to deliver a solid build before the year’s end, though no guarantee is made.

FlightSim Studio Tecnam Aircraft

FlightSim Studio’s Tecnam aircraft lineup is also getting some major updates. As previously announced, moving forward, the Tecnam updates will be released exclusively for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, ending the MSFS20 era for these models and embracing new features like MSFS24 walkaround mode and a native EFB.

The P2012 Traveller is reportedly in an advanced stage and is expected to enter beta in early 2026.

Events in 2026

FlightSim Studio has confirmed it will not attend FSWeekend in Lelystad next year, choosing instead to focus internal resources on core development. They will, however, be present at FSExpo 2026 in Minneapolis with a small booth and hopes to align the event with a celebratory milestone for the E-Jets final release.
