FlightSim Studio has published its Q3 2025 FSS Status Quo report. This update covers their major active projects, including the Super27 expansion, E-Jets series, and Tecnam aircraft, while acknowledging some hurdles and upcoming goals.
FlightSim Studio Super27
One of the highlights is the near completion of the Super27 expansion for the base Boeing 727 models. Visual and system enhancements are nearly ready for release, and the team has already published detailed posts covering the changes.
Among the most significant upgrades:
- A brand-new EFIS with autopilot support
- VNAV mode and RNAV approach support
- Digital VSI with TCAS – even the base 727 (when paired with Super27) can use these enhancements
- Support for GNS-XLS (optional)
FlightSim Studio has also officially announced they are working on the Boeing 727-100 variant, with plans to deliver both dedicated passenger and freighter versions, including a Super27 variant. However, Convertible models are not currently planned.

FlightSim Studio E-Jets
FlightSim Studio also mentioned that the E-Jets series remains in closed beta testing and that a big thank you is extended to testers for their resilience in logging reports, even when encountering frustrating bugs.
The team say they’ve already made headway on critical issues such as:
- Waypoint skipping/corner cutting on lateral flight paths
- Vertical path drops mid-flight
- Autothrottle oscillation during step climbs
- Unreliable Flight Director behaviour on takeoff
- Inaccurate performance prediction (fuel, ETAs, etc.)
Two prominent routing bugs have been addressed (focused on departure logic); however, many other issues remain, with the current priority being stabilising both lateral and vertical guidance.
A major undertaking has been integrating Navigraph into the new MCDU; this is intended to solve problems stemming from Microsoft Flight Simulator default navigation data errors, but the complexity of its integration has slowed down overall bug-fix progress.
VNAV autopilot support is being incrementally added, with the system already supporting RNAV approaches, step climbs, and descent calculations before TOD – but because of instability, VNAV is not yet activated in the closed beta. The team is cautious about releasing features prematurely that could add extra frustration.

FlightSim Studio Tecnam
And lastly, FlightSim Studio shared progress on upcoming features for the Tecnam models for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
P2006T
- new textures, refined flight dynamics, MSFS24 native walkaround and EFB support
P2012
- updated sounds, new MSFS24 EFB, and native MSFS24 walkaround features

No firm release windows are given yet, as their rollout depends on the progress of parallel projects.
Make sure to stay tuned to FSElite for the latest updates.
